The later experiments established a sensitivity of 0.468 per decade of sarcosine concentration, with a linear range extending from 1 ng/mL to 10 g/mL and a limit of detection of 0.32 ng/mL. A color gradient, ranging from 1 ng/mL to 10 g/mL of sarcosine, manifested when an electrochromic cell, incorporating a PEDOT-based material, was interfaced with the hybrid device. As a result, the device, free of equipment requirements and utilizing light sources, facilitates point-of-care analysis and the measurement of sarcosine within a clinically significant range of concentrations.
